Naturally being a huge Neurosis AND ISIS fanboy, I am jiving hard with all of the vocals.
Honestly SK's vox were a signature of their earlier sound but I've pretty much always thought SVT's vox were a lot cooler

Yeah the final song is nuts, when I first checked the Youtube stream for this album yesterday the tracklisting was backwards for some reason and that was the first song I heard, absolute mammoth of a track!

Aarons got this weird screech thing he uses in places on Sumac and one track here. Im calling it the big foot/Yowie screech that i find mildly hilarious

@ectier it's kinda funny, like he's caught his junk in his zipper for a second on Mirror Deep

compared to the last 3 neurosis records this sounds so revitalised and passionate. they clearly approached this with so much fury and energy. it has all of the energy and grit of a sun that never sets but with so much more emotional depth as well as sounding entirely new. the synths/electronics on this are so on point and elevate everything beautifully. I'm close to basically calling this flawless - it feels like a career defining moment for them.
they had a lot to fucking say and knew exactly how to say it. this may very well be my favourite neurosis record and I know it has so much more to say and discover as I live with it for a longer period of time.

Yeah the synths on this are gorgeous, really love the moments where Noah Landis is given the spotlight.
It's so hard to say which Neurosis album is my favourite, I've always loved The Eye of Every Storm, but this album definitely comes close to that.

yeah, agreed with this on the whole. And now you add Aaron to the mix as well. Damn cool. Definitely getting more than a few ASTNS vibes here, despite bringing new elements to the table. Either way this is very welcome indeed.
