I like this a bit but I'm sorry, I think these guys would benefit writing some of these head spinning ideas into actual songs and not meandering messes. Really really cool ideas, a band to watch.

Agreed with Wizard, except adding half a point to his rating, because it's difficult, if not impossible, to absorb a 70+-minute album with seemingly no recurring patterns per song.

I'm fine with an opinion if it weren't obvious that he's just trying to go against the grain all the time. I've respected his views in the past; this time, though, it's clear he just wants to be contrarian to something popular, as I pointed out in my comment.

@MTObsidian I do like BTBAM, but I do also know that a lot of people don't like them cause their unconventional way of songwriting, and I know that they are known as the "riff salad" band to some online spaces, was just kinda playing into the meme of that, didn't expect someone to take it this seriously. My high rating for the new album is a bit extreme, I don't like it that much honestly, but I'm more apologetic about that band than others, cause I've loved a lot of their albums in the past. I think a song like Swim to the Moon is a perfect example of how to write an extremely long song with vast memorability. Smart, cohesive songwriting executed flawlessly. If someone just cannot get into Colors though, I completely get it.
