There are about 20 or so grammatical errors all over your post, lacesoutalex. It makes you look like a hypocrite. Just saying.

Try as I might, I can't get into this. I love Alaska and Colors. But not this... I don't know why.

This is and has been my all time favorite album for quite some time. Btbam rules and all 4 of their studio albums are in my top 10, but The Silent Circus is so perfect from start to finish. The atmosphere it creates with its unique groove to shred to beautiful cleans are so classic. This album is for any fan of metal, deathmetal, prog metal, metalcore, or any heavy music in general!

That riff rules hard but the one near the end of "Coulrophobia" is like one of the best riffs ever.

the only flaw i could spot is the bass, which is not very well audible. the rest of the album is absolutely great.

One of the dumbest secret songs ever.

"I'm a MOOOOOOORRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOON".

Album pales next to Colors.

When i'm in the right mood I like Colors better but this is way easier to listen to. Lost Perfection, Mordecai, and Ad A Dglgmut definitely rank among their best songs.

Colors is too lifeless. This just does more for me. And yeah, the bass is a little low. Why, I'm not sure, because Kevin Falk could tear it up (and frequently did). He threw in parts on these songs (live, at least) that far exceed what you'd find on Colors (technically speaking) but for some reason you can barely feel him throughout much of this disc.

Colors is still the only album that I have from BTBAM. I still want to get this and Alaska.

this album is their best. it's definately more straightfoward, which is a plus. the guitars also sound more "dirty", whereas on alaska they have a much cleaner distortion. destructo spin and the first two tracks are incredible. oh, and camilla rhodes.
