I’m also not getting this band. I found their debut to be decent, but neither 3D Country nor this click with me.

This band's main appeal to me is the weirdness mixed with the immaculate grooves and wartime lyrics. Feels like a protest album.

I think the most perplexing thing about this is Cameron’s voice gimmick being smeared all over every track which understandably is what turned a lot of people off. The instrumentation is so good though I’m not as bothered by it now. Altogether it certainly sounds unique which has made me come back to it so many times.

Couple of bangers on this album, very interested to see where they go from here. Their FTB session was solid. I am just hoping they improve on the guitars a bit, at times it seems a bit too simple. Maybe a skill issue, but they make it work.

I listened to this again and there are some really killer tracks that grew on me a lot, but many of them still don't land for whatever reason. Maybe I'm also just not the target audience considering this is a fully Zoomer band. I feel like indie music is gonna be the hardest genre for Millennials to concede we've aged out of. Even though I was never much for indie, the big catchy anthems of the late 2000s and early 2010s are still part of the generational soundtrack.
