BigHans and Maniac are two of my best friends irl lol, talk to each of them almost daily. Still tight with a number of other sputters as well! This is a magical place in the vast sea of internet wasteland, for real

I’d say KNY > WP > this > SNW > ATF > Ohms > DE > Deftones > Adrenaline > Gore

I suppose there's no wrong answer to the deftones ranked question

I can't believe ST is below Ohms 😳
For me it's WP, ATF, ST/KNY, DE, SNW, OHMS, GORE, AD
Idk where this lands. Probably tied or right after SNW.

Only putting out two singles was an incredibly clutch move here, album just flows so well.

WP
ST
ATF
DE
This
Koi
SNW
Gore
Ohms
Adrenaline
My ranking of this is extremely tentative, and some Deftones albums I rank pretty equally to each other (self titled and white pony, diamond eyes and around the fur, koi and snw, gore and ohms). In other words:
S/t=WP
DE=ATF
This
Koi=SNW
Gore=Ohms
Adrenaline
Is more close to being accurate. Deftones albums are like kids man, some of them are impossible to choose one over the other.

That’s how it used to be. And it’s much better that way. I hate this releasing 3 or 4 songs off an album shit before it even comes out. Used to be ONE single before the album, then usually another around the album release date. Then maybe one more a few months later, if the album was successful enough to warrant it.
One thing did notice was that Ohms grew off me over the years, while Gore grew on me more. I liked both from the start, but ohms wore off quicker than most Deftones albums, and to this day is probably the one I reach for the least often. Still — a great album.

second listen during work and this is very consistent. kinda sounds like a mix of atd and kny to me. very cohesive and engaging. very hard to predict where this ranks alongside their catalogue (which is a goated run). safe to say this will end up in their top 5 for me though. after re-listening to their disc it's above adrenaline, s/t, gore, snw and ohms though

I almost think they should’ve done infinite source as a single. Just cuz I’d be curious as to what people would’ve rated it. Probably would’ve been astronomically high. But I’m also glad they kept it under wraps too

I don’t think I’d consider it my AOTY, but it probably would be if LPWP didn’t exist. It’ll be hard to top that one even from a decade standpoint. But I’m very comfortable placing this in the second spot. It’s funny my second spot has been fumbled rather quickly. First it was Callous Daoboys which is probably #4 for me now. Then Ethel Cain and she became #3. But it’s been a pretty damn stacked year to say the least. Probably the most I’ve enjoyed a year since 2013.

Locked Club and Cut Hands are just not it, ruining the flow. Ecdysis is becoming a huge jam next to the other highlights
