Ima be real… Heaven in Hell is probably my second favorite Sabbath record and Dehumanizer really might be number 3. Maybe give Dehumanizer a shot before Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules… Dio sounds fucking PISSED on that record.

Yeah I can't really blame anyone for thinking this is a bizarre take... I've tried for years to see it from the other side and yet there's something in my brain (maybe it's the autism) that hears that kind of "operatic" voice and just kinda nopes (I have to try to actively suppress that instinct) no matter how good it is. Yet I can hear hours of overwrought emo melodrama and not be even a little bothered.

dehumanizer is actually my fav sabbath dio album. one of the all time vocal performances for me at least. just an otherwordly voice. nobody did it like dio.

well how about this, I don’t really care for Dio much outside of his Sabbath records. That’s my hot ass take, his material with Sabbath rips so much harder than his solo output or anything with the other bands he was in
