The middle third of Seed of the Night is freaking cathartic, towering stuff

Got trouble getting to the second half of the album. The opening three tracks are too good. I just have to go back.

Considering all of the harmonizing between growls, screams, and cleans, I have no idea how they pull off a lot of the vocals live

this one is interesting, feels like it's gonna take a handful of listens to really absorb.

Very strong 4, close to a 4.5. Needs a couple of more spins for the second half to click harder. It's weird, for how relatively brief this album is it feels quite girthy.

Ok wait should I start here or at their prior album?

I'd go for Liminal Rite and The Almanac first tbh

Alright I hav exactly one hour before my first meeting
Goal is to hear all 3 today, but work and networking event later might make this annoying

I was confused by some of the non English lyrics on this album and looked it up and apparently it’s a completely made up language complete with translation guide lol. That’s wild. https://kardashevband.com/alunea-language/

Yep its made up. Kinda weird but screw it lol.

Beautiful how melodic this conlang is. I find the separate vovel pronunciation part interesting, since my own language is heavily phonetic.

All of their albums are varying degrees of great, this one is a direct followup to The Almanac and I do think it benefits from listening to that one first.

Record shows a great balance of heavy and melodic.
