It’s definitely not even close, but it’s at least good enough to render the take inaccurate on a technicality

kinda based from the development of their eventual superior sound point of view tho

it took the National five records to shake off the shadow of landfill NYC post punk revival, and Boxer was their only album that took that sound in its stride along the way. surviving more than 25 yrs of life on earth and still believing Alligator is their best is an arrested development issue y'all can get someone else to help you with

I mean I would certainly not say they’ve not done anything. FTFT and AFUT are wonderful albums. This is just shit. I think they can make good music with the lineup they have. But just this sound is godawful. Do something else (anything else)
