Personally, I may be wrong - but this didn't really do a lot for me. Maybe I should listen again, when I'm in the mood.

I never really understood how these guys got so big and i dont mean this in a detrimental way.
They have over 500k listeners on Spotify.
I really am bewildered.

I mean, Views from the Sun off Dark Pool is a stone-cold djent classic in my opinion and this album is pretty great if you can forgive some of the overt Deftones influences. Also, I think Aussies just really love their homegrown metallers and do a good job of raising their profile worldwide. I wouldn't have heard of Parkway Drive if they hadn't blown up like they initially did in their home country.

Yeah i was listening for the first time today and also felt the Deftones vibe.
|
| |
Sounding like Deftones doesn't have to be a bad thing.
Never understood people who dislike a band for sounding like another band they like.
Just more good music to listen to.

I NEVER skip songs. Im seriously considering perma skipping CRUSH
What is this? Craig David?
|
| |
I mean, sounding similar to a band is one thing but there are moments on here where it's straight up plagiarism. Cool album nonetheless

People are talking about under the knife, but obsession blew me away.
That 2:00 minute bridge is the highlight of the album for me so far.

obsession is kinda like Hollywood but the latter is better imo
|

Hard Disagree my friend. Obsession is way better :]
And I don't really see them as similar although the case could be made that all Thornhill songs nowaday are similar. But that bridge is too good and distinct. Feels like getting smacked by an Angel.
