I swear they put more money in their marketing than anything. They had that (admittedly cool) thermal vinyl with about a dozen variants, nonstop press and interviews, they tour a ton. Give me something to look forward to.

I'm pretty sure their peak albums were we a result of them losing their faith, also lots of inner band turmoil. They did not like each other and its a reason they initially split. You can definitely tell they take each other into account more on these albums but it leads to a more disjointed sound. You can still hear snippets of their old songwriting but it's layered on top of overdone electronics and production work.
