Really love this. My three hang ups are the Sylvan Embrace, while a great song on its own, is poorly placed and kinda kills the momentum. Should have been the closer.

The actual closer is just good, not amazing, probably weakest final track of all their albums after Origins.

And the production is a little too clear and light/airy. It's like so clean and thin that the bass and the drums lose a big chunk of their impact (though the riffs sound great).

Speaking of the riffs though, might be the best in the band's whole discog.

I like the clean production but indeed I would not mind it being a bit more rough. Bass presence is nice here though.

I think the production fits this quite nicely tbh. Its like walking on a mountaintop with Frodo lol. Glad you dig it Portal my brother.

I like my metal clean and powerful so this fits the bill. As did Origins

Obviously I'm in the minority but Roots still has my favorite Saor production. Raw and gritty without being muddy or compressed.

Forgotten Paths is a close second (production).

I'm still kind of in shock at how riff focused this is, and how good those riffs are.

I feel like I must be missing something with Rebirth, was very underwhelmed by it both playthroughs.

Rebirth is 5/5. At 3mins, then 6mins then 8:20 then the closing pipes *chefs kiss

8:20 is also the best moment of The Last Baron. coincidence? I think not.

Rebirth is one of my favourites songs he's ever done. When the tapping hook begins at 8:20 I transcend.

Love the production on this too; fits his sound really well.

To no one's surprise I love the addition of female vocals on this one too.
