Great album. I haven't listened to it a lot or for a while but I'm jamming now and I have to say this is very impressive.

The only thing holding this back is that I feel like the guitar could go a little crazier. It’s actually kind of reigned in and song servy, kind of being a role player. Which isn’t bad, I just want dissoshit to have barbs and sharp edges and off kilter shocks.

I do agree with that. It definitely still riffs but its more about the sinister atmosphere.

“Sire to the Ghouls” is definitely a contender, competing for this one’s throne in time, perhaps. Very good album

It's awesome, aye
Veilburner scratch the itch I thought Suffering Hour had cornered. The way in which they both create vague consonance out of an otherwise dissonant riffing style, definitely has a similar vibe in the way it's presented here, to me. Fortunately there are enough unique elements to separate the two. I know other bands have done similar, but that's the comparison I always think of when jamming this and "Sire" (need to get on their other stuff)

@demon
Sire is still my personal fav but they are definitely a strange realm of chaotic and warped while still retaining a sense of congruence amidst the melting pot of oddity
Like their albums are freaky and weird and yet a cheeky sense of fun always peeks through it all
