I think you’re getting at the ‘the enemy of my enemy is therefore my friend’ type reasoning but I’ve never encountered that philosophy with anyone in the UK over this conflict and I don’t really get how someone could easily communicate that concept in an irl conversation :/
It might be mostly uniquely American mental gymnastics’ like a hawk who wants a bogeyman but doesn’t trust anyone non American? No UK citizen wants any more spending on any conflict I’d imagine, before you even get to morality - people are really linking military spend to their own pay cheques like never before.
