After four listens this still rules, but it won't be as good as Time I. Better than The Forest Seasons and might end up above the s/t for me after more listens.
"Symphonic metal and cheese are synonymous"
While this is a factual statement, you can also say this about every other genre of metal too lol.

the vocal melody at the end of One With the Shadows is great, but it's completely ruined by the terrible production. so sad.

The music is kinda ok, but there is no way the mix could have been worse back in the day than it is now because the drums have no dynamic range or take up too much space in the middle of the mix or something. The drums are in the way of ok cheese, even just a super basic room mic of live drum playing with a trigger would have sounded a lot more appropriate.

Well, at least the art work was better this time
Agreed Pika, that song goes fucking nowhere for 13 mins lol

opening song rips, not sure I get the hate for the production either tbh, drums are a lil bit too high maybe but idk seems a clear mix to me on my system.

Really Jari? 12 years for this production? It's a shame, because the songs are good.

This album is uh
Good ig
Kind of a less interesting version of Time I with a weird half-interjection of some kinda Japanese theme near the end but it's still pleasant in a background noise kind of way. Also Jari's still has p impressive high cleans.

I feel like people have nostalgia goggles with time 1. Really wasn't that great

I think it had massive flaws and was genuinely overambitious in scope, but it actually had a level of fun in its WAY over the top bombast. This kinda feels more homogenized and so maybe more fluid but also just less....fun imo.

Probably should have just released the original mixes he had when Time I came out. Literally all I can hear on The Way of the Fire and One With the Shadows are guitar, kick drum, and snare. At least you could hear the orchestrations on Time I.

I can hear everything pretty easily but the kick drum and low end in general is too loud
