I really enjoy the first four tracks, but after that it starts to blend together and I end up just going back to listening to the first four again. Got me interested in the band again though for the first time since 2009!

Agreed! All except this one of course. But yes, I too have 1 or 2 Ulcerates over this....

Love the CC praise Titan. Those guys deserve their success more than anyone based solely off how awesome of dudes they are. Seriously, watch any interview or documentary with those guys involved and they're the nicest, chillest mfers in the world lol

Corpsegrinder is a contender for chillest man in the universe (as long as you don't mention WoW)

I love George so much. He's like a big kid and I just crack up at how much joy he gets from mundane everyday stuff like shopping at Target haha. That's a dude who lives life to the fullest

Agreed with everything you said Jaybro. I watched George shopping clearance in Target on YouTube as well haha - awesome. And yes, those muthafuckers appreciate every last fan. I know Alex sticks around until everyone has an autograph or photo. He truly enjoys just bs’ing with the fans - time well spent in his eyes.
Admirable is an understatement.

I interviewed Alex back in the day and I can confirm he is cool af. Took his time giving fun, thoughtful answers to a random webzine interview that probably made his band $0.

Only recently got into Nile after so many years of not vibing with them (no idea why), and this album kicks serious ass. Can't believe Karl is ripping riffs and vox like that while in his 60s.

Def better than their last, but not on par with Sethu for example.
If you are only just getting into Nile I would definitely rec their debut, it is my fave!

This has been living rentfree in my head for a couple of days. Thought this was just fun and well done at first and then I found myself coming back to it over and over. I do have the same where the second half isn't opening up to me yet but I do feel it will come. It's just a lot of stuff to digest.

I've been checking out their albums the last couple of months when I have some time to zone in and can really pay attention, and they're great. I've followed Kollias since before I even got into extreme metal and Nile never clicked until recently, idk what it was. Can definitely see why a lot of people consider them one of the greats, though. This one is super catchy for tech death, too.
