Damn didn’t even know this had come out. Been a pumpkins fan since Siamese came out but, like everyone, haven’t really liked one of their albums in a while — I guess Oceania is the last one. Before that, Machina off the top of my head.

“Edin” is shockingly great and there are several pretty good tracks scattered throughout (generally the more metal-oriented and straightforward pop rock ones) but there’s also some total cornball bullshit; most of the synth/symphonic stuff sucks. It still manages to feel just about like a good album as a whole, I guess. But I don’t think I’ll come back to anything aside from “Edin.”

Sighommi reminds me a lot of Quiet, which is my favorite Pumpkins song ever. It also may be why I only like that song off this album.
