Easycore is an old term to describe pop punk with metalcore aspects, particularly from the 2000s. The name is in relation to "Hardcore" as this music, while certainly influenced by hardcore punk, could not be called that (else you'd be a poser). Also, easycore was picked over the other alternative "softcore" for reasons.
The use of the term was a pretty in the know/local scene type of thing (both in jest and derogatorily) and wasn't used widely on the internet until maybe 10 to 12 years ago - when easycore was already seriously dying out. In this respect, you could say this is similar to how "Djent" also emerged as a subgenre and term used on the internet.
"ADTR zero correlation to Bilmuri" Bilmuri is from Attack! Attack!, one of the bigger Scene bands from the 2000s. ADTR is also a big Scene band, and they're both on the metalcore side of Scene music too. I think this is quite easily comparable to ADTR, even if they're not quite the same flavor, they're not that different.
