Requires further inspection of course, but thus far it seems well balanced between not pandering to obvious tropes, yet isn’t overly obtuse either. Production rules.

The engineering work on this album is phenomenal. It’s detailed but spontaneous sounding. Early days, but so far this is my favourite album of theirs and one of the best releases I’ve heard this year.
