Totally do!! First check their sole LP Drome Triler of Puzzle Zoo People and also the compilation An Earwig’s Guide to Travel. Really neat blend of powerviolence and experimental drone and sound collage stuff. Might give you a better perspective on the split and maybe help you enjoy it more

Okay I was about to start listening to Gasp space… what in the hell is this bands trajectory lol
Put out two well received records 25 years ago and then do a split with FoH? Are there some missing records in the database or were they really inactive that long?

And it looks like all they have on Spotify is a demo from 96 and the split so I guess I’m gonna start there.

Ohhh the demo I’m listening to is the unmarked “first” record on their page here. This is some solid shit but I assume the LP is drastically different?

man i keep trying to keep up with this bands discog but its too all over the place, there are some splits/collabs here ive never even heard of.
back to the album, fucking rules but i dont like that album cover at all, probs one of the ugliest ones they've done.

really love how bright this sounds, it's a new direction for them (at least on their non collab albums)

It’s very abstract, the cover. They definitely have better ones, but I’m not mad at it. I like that they went the colorful route. Very fresh for them.
Gasp is very cool, but their music has a tendency to meander in the psych tape loops too much at times. Haven’t heard them in years though, maybe they’ll sound better on revisit. The split with FoH was absolute wallpaper though. Useless.

It's also the same guy who did the Miss Machine artwork, which checks out. Incomprehensible horrors are his thing.
Which split? I love When No Birds Sang, with Nothing.

The Gasp split. FoH have a lot of great splits and collabs but that was far from their best. I hate when people use noise/experimentalism as an excuse to phone in characterless drivel. The best noise has a lot of textural variety. Dynamic tension and release just without the notes. Not to say it’s necessarily out of character, FoH have a bunch of middling noise tapes.

Lament, from the new release made it onto my 2025 playlist, for whatever that's worth

Is Full of Hell or Harm's way the headliner for their tour currently?

Seems like it’s a co headliner but full of hell played first in my city, didn’t stick around for harms way :/

Yeah, my friend and I are wanting to go but seems full of hell's set is only 30 mins and wondering if it's worth paying 30 for ticket plus another 30-40 plus for ubers just for something that short but... I fucking love this band. lol
