Just realized "I Can't Wait" and "Time Won't Wait" were put back to back. Surely that wasn't necessary but I love them for it lmao

Pleasantly happy with this so far! I'm at Dopamine rn, and it's been a pleasant collection of pop punk songs, great vocals, fun guitar work, pretty much all I could hope for. I'm excited to get to the more metallic stuff on the second half

Listened to it once through and it's perfectly serviceable pip punk but not something I'm ever likely to come back to.

I'd much rather just jam Infected or Chuck again when the mood strikes.

The madmen actually covered Paint It Black. I mean, it's a completely unnecessary cover, but it's there, I guess

Pretty enjoyable album overall! For a band's swan song, it's about everything you could hope for. Sum 41 went out doing what they do best. Power to them for that

What a wild, random resurgence for the pop-punk icons of the 00s: Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, Sum 41, My Chemical Romance (just a single though), Green Day (to a slightly lesser extent)

"My Chemical Romance (just a single though)"

Haven't forgiven them for dropping just a single and then dipping. It was so good too

Now we just need Machine Gun Kelly to release a new album and pop-punk is officially back

“Now we just need Machine Gun Kelly to release a new album”

I personally don’t need that

MGK was such a weird flash in the pan for people

I actually enjoyed Tickets to My Downfall, but it felt like such a gimmick and maybe I'm just old but mentioning him in the same sentence as those other bands seems sooooo odd.

the MGK hate hype over the last few years has been pretty annoying. I don't care for his music but the backlash against him has outdone his stuff in obnoxiousness tenfold.
