this is pretty trash. lyrics are abysmal

stupid/narcissistic people are easier to dupe. Better to actually consciously differentiate between actual neo nazis and nationalist groups so they can be taken seriously rather than call anyone who has ever said some wacko shit a nazi.

He has checked a few of these boxes before and you can absolutely call him an antisemite without calling him a nazi. The rhetoric is important, if you just call every person who says something problematic a nazi you’re going to have a boy who cried wolf situation on your hands.


Also remember when Fantano had his own “nazi” scandal? Just saying man, words are important and painting things with a broad brush is part of the problem when it comes to this shit.

@matbla00 think the main issue with your take is signaling out rap, every genre including alternate/indie music has fucked up/hedonistic themes showcased by troubled artists. 'sex, drugs, and rock and roll' has been a saying since the 70s. can go back to the classical era and find degenerate tendencies, hell just look into the origins of most folksongs and nursery rhymes. it's not exclusive to music either, paintings/literature/even something like the bible is filled with sketchy stuff that's a reflection of the era/culture it originated from. personally, when it comes to current america conservative extremism i'd signal out someone like rush limbaugh as far more damaging than any rapper.



i would've argued 'nazis don't listen to kanye' in the late 2000s but i honestly don't know what a modern nazi does in their spare time.



and i'll reiterate that fantanos take is a pretty direct result of all the fans/trolls who've bugged him over kayne over the past couple years, just hit newest on the comment section of his review or look at any of the replies he's gotten on twitter since that non-review dropped.

I mean absolutely not, lol, I haven’t said I am stoked about this situation at all in any sense. I just think the word nazi has become so overly used in place of anti-Semite or racist or whatever that I fear that people are eventually going to stop taking “nazism” seriously. And an idealism that perpetuated genocide should ALWAYS be taken seriously.
