@kalkwiese I was very skeptical when the opener was released as a single but yeah, in context to the album, these bookends are amazing and are completely unique within their discography.

Nah, the new album is pretty amazing. Give it some time to unfold. It takes the stripped back focus of later albums (mostly guitars, bass and drums) and mixes in some Anamnesis.

Urian has a huge songwriting influence from Ilja, the bassist. Der Brauch is much more of a Nils (guitarist) record, so the way it works is a bit different. Honestly, both are amazing works, but ymmv

this was the first album i heard from these guys, it was pretty solid but didn't stick for whatever reason. really loving the new one though, especially "Der Doppelgänger".
