potsy are you familiar with Crush My Soul (Ultramix) from the Merciless EP (1994)? it's filled with acid lines and breakbeats. the 'psychofuck dub' of xnoybis on there is amazing too and the second section of that wouldn't be out of place on a Basic Channel release imo

Messiah is one of their best EP's. That one is also filled to the brim with Dub and Breakbeat influences.

Backtracking a bit now but yeah I’m definitely thinking: a fuck-ton of tags that are sometimes unnecessarily applied > not enough tags in general 😆
|
| |
yeah at least on rym i can look at something and have a decent sense of what itll sound like even if it has some fake-ass tags
here i see an artist just tagged "hip hop" or "electronic" like bro give me something ANYTHING

Currently listening to this, as others have mentioned, it doesn't reinvent the wheel, however, I think it is decent.

The last song goes hard even with clean vocals.

As I’ve been reintroducing a little bit of metal here and there into my intake I’ve kind of realized that the problem isn’t a general lack of interest as much as a lack of attention span for it. Even when I am enjoying a metal album these days I lose interest about halfway through and everything starts to feel monotonous/homogenous

is it just me or does the prod here seem kinda limp
i want those drums to be slappin but they kinda dont be
|
| |
For me it’s the bass. There are a couple tracks where it thwomps but in most of this it’s too far back in the mix and takes away some oomph factor
