I feel like certain gothic metal and funeral doom bands have approximated similar textures, though I'm certainly no expert. It's definitely cool and unique, I just wanted more from it musically. It's just a bit dry at times, to my ear. But these are only gentle critiques of a product that's definitely still really good. I was actually bummed about missing their show a few months back because I'm certain this music would be compelling live.
