Yeah I completely disagree. I think We Are Always Alone tops it in every way, and then obv they went in a completely different direction with Christfucker and Devil Music but I always thought that debut showed a young band with a lot of promise and then they capitalized on that with an amazing second album.
Also, one of those bands where I get to be cool and say I saw them before anybody heard about them. They played maybe 20 mins opening for Birds in Row and I think they literally only had their very first EP and maybe a single or two out at the time. Blew me the fuck away from the jump. Can’t believe that’s been like 8 years now, time fucking flies man.

We Are Always Alone might be my second favorite but there's something about their debut that sounds menacing and frightening which I don't really get from their other releases, I think it's also more rooted in hardcore so yeah, not the biggest crust or bm fan honestly

Yeah I went to the BIR tour stop near me and caught them too, drummer is an absolute animal. Not liking these new singles at all but what’re you gonna do yknow

I'm so incredibly excited for the new one.. I love all the singles so far. Been blasting this a lot lately too, both sides are crushing!! The riffs translate so well to the strings, such a sinister vibe.

I’m not listening to another two singles, I’m gonna practice self control on that front for once… I don’t think any album should have four pre release singles lol
I got an almost industrial vibe from those first two tho, just with their blackened screamo spin on it
Fucking Callous Daoboys and these guys are playing the same night on opposite sides of town, I don’t see how I’m gonna catch them both but I’m gonna try

Oh damn, you gotta somehow hit both lol..
Yeah, I can totally see the industrial vibe. It's got some groove to it!
I really wish I had that restraint, I completely agree. Should really just have one imo
That unholy BASS TONE though... is that an Ampeg SVT? It's freakin chewy and I can't get enough

New songs might be the coolest shit they've done yet. Absolutely loving this new direction
And yeah that bass tone is filthy. Ecstasy is awesome

It’s kinda… unique(?) for them

nothing they ever released touched daymare for me
the live recorded version is absolutely insane

Scoot has it right. Everything has been downhill since daymare, even on that album.

Yeah I just disagree big time guys… I mean it’s an amazing song and the best on the album… but there’s like 3-4 songs on We Are Always Alone that I think are just as good. And people forget about the Suffering is a Gift EP which I also love.

New one is disappointing imo.
Ah well, these guys have been on a wicked hot streak for a while now, they were bound to come out with something subpar sooner or later.
Ill give it a few more listens but after two it’s easily their worst record imo

Very hype to jam the new one.

It’s fine. I feel like Let Pain Be Your Guide and We Are Always Alone then Christfucker and Devil Music were a couple of good pairings and they’ve switched up their sound again but I don’t think it always comes together in the most cohesive way.
Like I think it has their pretty potent blend of black metal and screamo but to me some of these songs just aren’t really that memorable and I think the spots of industrial are very hit or miss.
