Probably one of my favourite metalcore albums too. Take it for what its worth though, I don't listen to much from this genre.

Very good review thor, and even better album. I agree that this is the best metalcore band around. Only thing is, why are you hating on A7X?!

Touche. There are many lovers and haters. But I dont aim to argue.
Anyways, off of that subject, Great all around album, no bad tracks imo, and I recommend it to everyone.

This. I cant really tell you why. Of course, I havent exactly digested both enough yet, as I just started listening a short while ago. But as of right now, this is just more....catchy....for lack of a better word. I got into this right away.

yeh.. i think that this record as a whole is better (trevors singing in the last record made me cringe) but some of the more standout tracks on the oncoming storm blow me away

I think I saw it once, but I didn't pay much attention to it. I'm going to check it out again now.

Though, I have seen the "Sanctity of Brothers" video, and I thought it was tight. Nice visual style.

EDIT: Just watched it over again, and I have to say it is intense. I'm sure a few people may have had seizurese over it. Damn flashing lights. This Message Edited On 04.25.07

yeah its intense, but I had a hard time with it because it seemed as though their EQ was off, like the vocals and drums were turned way up and the guitars down.

I disagree about the 5, but it is a very strong record. Great review, too. I absolutley love Big Bear and the Hour of Chaos, Sanctity Of Brothers and Giles, but every song on here is worth at least one or two listens.

Some of All Shall Perish's breakdowns are beyond amazing, but this album is definitely far superior.
