oh no, what did Johnny do this time? The man is a menace

Album is still sweet af and I should listen to it more (and other things less?) so I can finally come to some sort of definitive verdict

I found the closer a bit too separate from the rest of the album

maybe that's why it stuck out to me on first listen

i felt similarly but i saw that as a positive, also always kinda felt like the last track on their debut felt separate in a similar way since it feels closer to a more traditional emocore thing than the track prior

yeah, honestly there's a disconnect where the closer is concerned - it's like all momentum grounds to a halt just before it begins. Good track in isolation, but the potential impact feels neutered somehow.

I prefer pretty much everything else here now

Man, I'm a big fan of this new trend of bands coming back decades later and not sucking. Shame Refused etc didn't manage it.

Need my copy of this to come in the mail now, been listening to this heaps digitally though.

Thought Drunk is a banger of an opener but wouldn't crack my top 3 here

early big hitter, but probably same for me now

Manchester holding firm (was an early fave), t/t is consistently hard-hitting and Paranormaladies has grown on me a lot. Decider bangs but isn't near the top. I'd probably take Voiceless Prophets over Thought Drunk, although that wasn't always the case. The closer is very good in isolation despite having a weird 'detached' feel due to the structuring, idk.

I should be able to rank the whole album quite easily by this point, yet I keep changing my mind. Everything is at least very good. Easily one of the AOTY and better than the deubt imo (also probably better than Gospel's album, which has me shook).
