I agree, Meridonial and Wrongdoers were the peak of the scene.

yea lol meridional doesnt even have the best tracklist possible from those sessions. fuckin band not including distance to planets.

granted wrongdoers doesnt either bc of family bike wreck but that, while an absolute ripper and a half, doesnt feel as missing bc wrongdoers is j so strong (it also doesnt have the fuck ton of interludes). meridional still owns tho and is one of njs stronger albums

Norma Jean has never been the peak of the scene but they have been a consistently great band until the last few

Damn, how does one not think the last minute of Spearmint Revolt is memorable like what violence has been done to this person's soul

Pretty much agreed. All Hail has been climbing down my ranks for them for a while now, Polar Similar also doesn't feel quite as special anymore, and I've never clicked with Meridional, but when they knock it out they're really great (Redeemer, Anti-Mother, Wrongdoers and now this).

For me, they have four records I love to bits (Wrongdoers, Meridional, Redeemer, and Polar Similar), three records that are excellent (Anti-Mother, this, and O' God), and two records I could live without (All Hail and debut)
