I still love Sing the Sorrow a lot but yeah outside of that one nothing really tops this. Though there are some tracks on Decemberunderground I think hold up and even though Burials has kinda grown off me over the years I do appreciate them trying their hand at that sort of thing, especially off the back of Crash Love.

Why does Davey Havok's voice have to be so damn whiny? Makes Daryl Palumbo's voice sound deep.

I was listening to an interview with Davey and he said that Sing the Sorrow is what they were trying to make with this album but they didn't have the time and money to bring it together in the same way that they could with Sing the Sorrow.

It's interesting to listen to this album with that in mind because I can hear that in songs like Ever and a Day, Morningstar, and The Days of the Phoenix.

I'll have to revisit Sing the Sorrow. This one is easily one of my favorites in the genre and definitely my favorite from the band

Logical development of Black Sails. I can relisten this every month and it doesn't get boring at all, such a jam.
