I also really love the singing so it makes me a bit nervous to see them kind of double back at a sound that I enjoy less than this newer approach.

I wonder if it's because their longtime fans don't like it as much. Maybe it doesn't go over as well live when you're touring with less adventurous deathcore bands.

Definitely a bummer, I'm concerned that they won't explore the melodic side as much.

But then again, "We are One" exists, so maybe I'll get an album full of those and be super stoked.

New single feels like such a massive de-evolution. Cowards.

Very happy they kept their promise of the new album being more brutal again. Killer single.

I was a bit skeptical when Phil said no clean vocals for this new era but I am no longer skeptical, new track fucking slaps. Phil's highs are a welcome return and it's just such an aggressive track without needing to shoehorn a traditional breakdown. Fucking good shit, lads

Wow this might be the first time in history a band was truthful in their new song/new album promo hype. Even the art for the single looks proper vintage.

I will miss this Kin style though, they were so good at it

To be fair, two albums in the vein of The Valley & Kin are enough for me. Style was wearing off for me a bit. Great two-album run though

Yeah The Valley and Kin are my favorites by far, but even I am totally fine with them changing things up

disappointing tbh, the last two albums made them unique. now they're just another deathcore band again

Yeah that’s how I feel. Everything that made those albums feel distinct is gone.

They can always fall back on the fact that they aren't "just another deathcore band" due to being one of the two-three (if you count the JFAC EP) original deathcore bands and literally every other band continues to bite their style.

Saw them this weekend with Lorna and Kublai Khan. Despite Lorna being quite the spectacle live, Whitechapel absolutely wiped the fucking floor with every other band there. No contest. Massive sound, insane setlist and Phil is obviously the GOAT. They really seem primed to remind everyone who the kings are.

Phil has always been one of if not THE best vocalist in the genre
