I'd kill for Claudio to sing like he does in Three Evils, 21:13, Time Consumer, Pearl of the Stars, etc. He's so locked into the Sirius XM Octane vocal range and almost never does softer vocals like that throughout the songs now so there's hardly any dynamic within the tracks.

I almost wish Welcome Home and The Suffering never got so big because it feels like they've just been trying to replicate those two songs over and over again since more casual fans eat that shit up. Welcome Home isn't even a top 20 Coheed tune.

The Suffering is better than Welcome Home tbh

I'ma be real. The Suffering is my least favorite song on Good Apollo I, which I like to think says a lot about how great that album but I know that's a pretty unpopular opinion.

Remember when Storm had a Claudio avatar, always saw you as the resident Coheed guy.

After the weekend to take this in I must say I adore everything on here except shoulders. Big surprise for me because i was ready to discard this band as done. As an ex coheed fan boy this makes me happy. Can't understand the low ratings but each to their own.

I am going to have to revisit Vaxis I. I recall being very underwhelmed and thinking it was way too long. I like that this is more concise and am surprised with how well I feel this worked out for them leaving into the pop. I wish it had a bit more of a bite but all in all I found this more enjoyable than most recent full coheed releases

A string of 3 minute tracks would have turned me off in 2008 or so, but after the slog that was Vaxis I this was a breath of fresh air.

This review has prompted me to write my very first one, it's not a 2.0 but to each their own as others have said.

The Darker Sentence is literally the only thing I have ever returned to off of Vaxis I. This feels fresh, cohesive yet diverse and fun all the way through.
