The last 5 tracks stands up to any of the best RH material since HTTT. We Don't Know into Skrting is stunning

"Cryptically-named The Smile"

"When Thom Yorke introduced his new band at their first gig a year ago, he took a moment to explain their name. “Not the Smile as in ha ha ha,” he said, his faux laugh echoing eerily, “more the Smile of the guy who lies to you every day.”"

The second half is where this album really shines, Thin Thing, Floodgates and Free in the Knowledge back to back is fucking ridiculous

Thin Thing is an easy highlight and yeah the album does improve (after a decidedly underwhelming start).

there’s some nice moments on here but I think overall it’s suffering from a lack of identity

Don’t think this suffers from a lack of identity at all. Definitely has a sound and feels singular. It suffers from not being that good, that’s what it suffers from.

rina has all the identities and owns most of em

thom and jonny and that guy have one identity and it is condensation on the inside of the glass of 00s windows, and that's this!
