“ I just was really wishing there was a bit more interesting guitar and riffs on it. This new one really balances it.”
Huhhh?? I only noticed like two tracks here with noticeable lead guitar going on. After listening to Marigold again this morning my first thought was literally “damn, they wrote some sweet guitar parts on this album” and it feels like that’s one thing lacking from 11:11 a little bit

Gotta say, I've recently been exposed to superfans who call themselves 'Pinenuts' and they are weird lol

Superfans of any band are a bit off, if I pay too much attention to their existence it makes me like the band less ... for some groups its difficult to avoid at their live shows (thinking of the twenty one pilots and front bottoms shows that had such obnoxious fans it ruined the experience for me)
I'm really digging Iodine, Flora and Swimming most so far. Not feeling as high on Habitat or Orange as most people seem to be, but thats okay, I still think they are solid. Let and 11th Hour are probably the low points for me and those are still good.

Sometimes they can be a lot of fun and quite insightful. Other times, they can be mental. Genuinely.
There's a subgroup of Harry Styles fans that bully Olivia Wilde incessantly online. That level of parasocializing isn't healthy at all.
I can't imagine Pinegrove fans being like that. Maybe a bit annoying but harmless.

Oh yeah, it doesn't seem like a toxic fanbase, just....intense lol

A lot of creativity in certain fanbases, too. The Pinegrove fanbase seems to be a very creative audience. So you get a lot of cool stuff out of it. I suppose that is true of any fanbase. So even if it seems wild, they can definitely be worth exploring.

The Pinegrove fan base recorded versions of these songs from the chords/tabs and some of them were super cool. This guy did 11th hour with a full band and it was pretty great

This album is honestly so, so good. Best Pinegrove for me.

Is it just me, or is Evan's voice a bit, I don't know, grating on this? I think part of the issue is the cadence of his lyrics on a few tracks. Some songs seem to have the same long, drawn out vowel sounds (Orange is the primary culprit).

yes but only when he says WHEN CORONA HIIIIIITTTTT

I actually like the "when Corona hit" line, it works for me in the context of the song

idk why everyone is so up in arms about him mentioning corona and youtube
the worst lyric is when he says "I cough into the sand" and then the next line is "there's sand in everything"
