Pneumonia and Hallelujah are the strongest songs on this LP for me. Honestly, I've lost the hypersensitivity around UØ's lyrical use of "fuck;" they did it, it's maybe a little overused at times, but it really isn't cringey.

I can think of like two or three fucks off the top of my head. people have super weird standards for this band. there's like one song that even kind of touches on disillusionment towards christianity and everyones likes "WOW SPENCER IS EDGY ATHEIST WHO SAYS FUCK ALL THE TIME" like bro listen to one death/black metal album and tell me why we're even discussing this

Their first 2-3 albums had BM elements, primarily in the vocals.

At this point I wish the band never reformed. Saw them on their ''final'' tour with Letlive. and Mewithoutyou, that was a proper farwell. Oh well. Some highlights here and there, way better than Erase Me, but still doesn't touch the golden trifecta of DTGL, LITSOS and Disambiguation.

Them and Thrice coming back have been huge disappointments. Hopefully Anberlin can break the streak.

Good call on Life In Your Way, Nash. Beloved's return is also looking strong so far.

"...UØ's lyrical use of "fuck;" they did it, it's maybe a little overused at times, but it really isn't cringey."

people only think 5 fucks is "overusing fuck" because they used to say 0 fucks. so apparently all fucks are edgy for them now. go look up, idk, any rap or metal album or literally any genre and see if you can find a single comment saying that the artist is cringey for saying a naughty word. lmfao. I maintain that people have the weeeiiirdest standards for this band. it defies reason
