Same here man, but In Parting and Much More Was Lost are definitely up there for me off the top of my head

Much More Was Lost is everything about this band that is amazing, put together so well and beautifully while still hitting extremely hard.

Much More Was Lost has one disconnected transition closer to the end which is quite offputting

I hate to say this but I'm in the same boat, and I loved Vessels. Gonna try again maybe in a month or two. It sounds like a Be'lakor album, but nothing is really sticking for me.

The transitioning solo from 1:20-2:20 in Much More Was Lost is giving chills. Closers are their specialty

I felt like this album was more enjoyable throughout than all their other albums. They're getting more varied, nuanced and subtle, which is awesome. but the outro track isn't one of their top closers sadly, with that the album would easily own everything they ever did

though maybe it'll grow on me. but it doesn't seem like it has the stopping power of sanguinary, countless skies or the smoke of many fires

I think it'll grow on you, it's a monster of a track and one of their best as far as I'm concerned. But yeah, as a whole this is the most enjoyable album for me too

This is growing on me a lot. Foothold and Valence are top tier.

The thing with Foothold is it needs to be later in the album imo. An alternative track order would be

Locus, Valence, Sweep of Days, Hidden Window, The Dispersion, Foothold, Indelible, Much More Was Lost

I like Foothold exactly where it is actually. The flow of the album is weird at first but upon repeated listens I don't wanna change a thing *cue Aerosmith*

Oh a PB! Then we can ignore it.

Anyway, great album. Never considered that any songs are in the wrong place.
