I think listening to Blasphemy on repeated listens made me dislike it even more :^)
Brethren of the Cross is neat - probably my favourite track that wasn't released beforehand

Also I am on #TeamIndifferentAboutDowsing
I don't know if I just haven't listened to it enough but other than On Limpid Form, it doesn't captivate me like Hubardo or Choirs

Imo brethren of the cross is the worst track

Coffins beats out Hubardo for sure. Hubardo needed more songs like The Weight of the World. Best track from Hubardo and one of Kayo Dots finest songs

Spectrum of One Colour worst track IMO - still neat though and better than most tracks on Blasphemy
If the instrumental mid-section of The Wait of the World was trimmed down a bit, it would be hands down the best Kayo Dot song - "To enchant the lonely, to love and to die" gives me chills every time

The Knight Errant and Spectrum of One Colour are my two least favorites. Brethren of the Cross is ok, that instrumental middle section is great.
Wait of the World is one of their best and my favorite on Hubardo too.

This record's vibe is something else. There is something here I haven't ever heard. The mixture of gothic/post-punk/space synth atmosphere with that weird drumming patterns and tempos... This is genius. Jamming this for the 5th time and loving it even more.
Edit: my goodness goosebumps all over man. This is another masterpiece of an album. I can understand why this would take some time to grow on people but once you grasp it this shit hits deep

Yeah this album is full of little gems that make me want to keep digging deeper into each song. Even on Spectrum of One Colour which has probably my least favorite moment on the album (Like the whole first minute of the song is just kind of iffy for me) I still think the other 2/3rds of the song are worth listening to over and over. The layered growls on some of the songs are pretty cool too, reminds me of Aquilus's Griseus in some parts. Anyways, there's not a single song on here that I'd skip over.

"Glad we agree Jas! Might be the most divisive band ever"
I think that's AFI. Kayo Dot and AFI are similar in that they both have a single album that the fanbase agree is their best. For AFI that's Sing the Sorrow, and for Kayo Dot that's Choirs. After that, you never know which way people will rank their albums.

Don't know if it's the hype but it does get better with every listen - Void in Virgo never fails to give me goosebumps in the final chorus
