T/t, beyond oblivion, betrayer, and sever the hand are four of their best songs... but TSATS also has a lot of the crap on it too. This one far more consistent in quality imo.
You can prob make an album as good/better than this if you combined the best tracks from Sin and Dead Men into one album tbh.

Even then there isn't a song that reaches the highs Damocles or Abattoir tbh, except maybe Thrown into the Fire.

Three will received albums in a row? My interest is piqued. It's always good to see a band turn around after mainstream shock as it sounds like they've finally came into their own.

Kinda shocked that this ended up as good as people are saying. The singles were pretty solid, but I didn’t expect this to be contender for the band’s best.

Okay so in the court of the dragon isn't the best song?

You could easily argue it's among the weaker tracks lol, still slaps tho

Uhhhh is the title for this a The King in Yellow reference? Considering the album cover... ehh looks like it isn't.

Yeah that's usually the thing with Trivium, there are always some crappy songs in their albums but lately the good ones are really good that's for sure. Maybe is more consistent as a whole but it's not giving me enough for now, I think I just need to listen to it more, TSATS wasn't my favourite at first either but I ended liking it after some time.

A Crisis in Revelation is way too much fun to play on guitar.

The album exceeded all of my expectations, truly a fourth classic from the band.

I’ve only heard a few songs from this but what i heard is really good and more importantly that album art is a thing of beauty.

I’ve said it before in multiple threads, this was the album Trivium should’ve done all along. This band is at its best when they’re not writing songs for mainstream appeal. I think they’ve reached a popularity peak where they can put out a more aggressive and prog leaning album like this. Hopefully they expand on this.

Like A Sword Over Damocles is such a perfect Trivium song. Definitely my highlight here so far.
Abattoir is indeed really good too.
Album gets a bit same-y at times but overall really strong. My biggest issue is actually the production but in the end it's not even that bad.

Album is way better than WTDMS. Agreed the production is a bit of a let down, doesn't sound as big as Shogun to me. Shogun has higher highs than this for me, and a few songs here definitely follow the same formula. Still a really great release though, musicianship is stellar and the vocals have improved a lot.

Holy fucking riffs. I don't know what's going on with Trivium lately but whatever it is, I hope it stays with them for a long time. The musicianship is next level, the hooks are great, the vocals are solid as ever, Shogun + TSATS vibes, this is as good as Trivium gets.
