"this isn’t ars typical jazz fusion, it’s actually very pleasant"

What's typical ars jazz fusion? Frank Zappa? King Crimson? Robert Wyatt? Stanley Clarke? that one Herbie album I checked? I don't really listen to that much fusion outside of stuff related to 70s prog or funk

I guess Jerry Paper's Toon Time Raw is fusiony too, but in the same way as this is so uh tbh all you fans of this should check that

this shit is long though and idk if I'll have the attention span for 73 minutes of this at once but the 4 songs I heard were all good

it's definitely long but the quality is pretty consistent. i thought it was too long on my first listen but i wasn't too bothered with it last time around

Its length makes perfect sense to me, creates many opportunities to get into the groove and to throw in even more influences and diversity. It's one of the main reasons this thing is so impressive to me. Because it totally works, even with its 70+ minute duration. They've used all this time to its full potential.

I'm a guy who prefers shorter albums, although I could get into lengthier ones if they were consistently good and captivated me all the way through (for my liking) or maybe ambient stuff. But some songs here just didn't captivate me so much, specially when they were more in a ~~conventional~~ manner, but I enjoyed those groovier and more experimental songs, and I really appreciate how interesting they made all those differences in influences come through on the songs. Theme Vision might be the highlight from this for me, it's where the pop sensibility perfectly meets their groovier style. I'm curious to hearing their other albums.

Glad to see that Theme Vision is being scene as the album's best track

I couldn't agree more, though Step Out of the Light is close

Discovering this was a completely coincidence, only saw the great album picture with the rainbow colours on it and decided to check it out.

Most songs are really cleverly structured, and of course I like the psychedelic influences.

My first album of them.

Yep, it's a blast! Just now took it from the CD player, after about two weeks of listening to it. Time for something else but I miss this already!

Literally read this guy’s name as ‘Penandes’ at first which would’ve been funnier.

Cool album anyway. Needs closer inspection.
