24 Light-years is my favorite so far. Second half takes a little longer to open up for me but I know I'll get there. Have to say though, it's definitely not on the same par as applause for me.

After Applause of a Distant Crowd, the expectations were high. Though it isn't as good as its predecessor, VOLA still know how to do its gimmick : aerial sound (like Freak), tainted with the heaviness from Inmazes (Stone Leader).

"Inside Your Fur" is fucking beautiful.
There's a lot of little details and flourishes in this album that aren't apparent on first listen, and won't be apparently on your 1,000th listen if you're using a car stereo. Like the verses in the above song having twinkling synths that I couldn't notice in my car but are super-apparent with earbuds. Then that choir effect in the second verse that gives it SO MUCH WARMTH. I wish all their songs hit me like this.
