Album was released smack in the middle of covid and it still went gold / reached #3 on the charts.

Definitely wasn’t a flop.

Have you seen the charts? This album was vastly less popular than everything they dropped before it. Havnt heard a peep about these guys since this albums release.

Like all their albums it takes time for people to catch on. The fact that they released this during covid and it’s only like 35 min long makes it more of an EP. You’re comparing apples and oranges. #3 on charts speaks for itself.

When this album dropped their core fan base was convinced it was a “fake” album and the “real” one would be surprise dropped shortly after.

Sounds like some fake and gay shit made up by Reddit haters

Don’t really care either way about it’s sales or what nerds are saying about it. this album is a masterpiece.

Says the guy who probably listened to it twice.

If you skip Never Take It this is an easy 5. Might be the smoothest 30 min of music I’ve ever heard.

Yeah and your review demonstrated an obvious ignorance of the meaning of the lyrics and themes of the album. You focused entirely on the sound like this was a Britney Spears pop album and ignored the poetic aspect of it entirely.

Quick without googling, tell me what the opening track is about?

Literally have an entire paragraph about the lyricism and themes of the album?

Anyway, opening track is designed to be ironic

Everything going wrong but still saying it's a good day, because the value of life doesn't depend upon "the weather" to set how the "day" is

You write shit like this

> This kind of lyricism is scattered amongst Scaled and Icy with verses like ”Shoot my life in shoot-em-up style/Her favorite movies, lowkey that throw off the maturity aspect of their lyricism

because you don’t even listen to the lyrics or the artist’s comments on the album

It's really funny how me discussing lyrics and themes means I somehow disregard the lyrics and themes

The lyrics and themes went over your head.

The opening track is not about having a good day even when it’s bad weather lmfao
