Few listens in and this is pretty nice. I enjoy a lot of the material here. This was my first experience with the band so I could definitely see this growing as I get more familiar with them. Wouldn't be surprised if this got up to a 4 or so after doing a little discog run.

I'm glad a lot of people are liking this. I'm curious to see if the band will chart on Friday. The album's received a lot of praise. In the meantime, I'm waiting on my vinyl to arrive. Can't wait.
Lasseg, I'm no expert on the band, but from what I've heard the older material is similar in structure, but there's less singing and pretty moments and there aren't two vocalists, of course.

A Fragile Hope and Blessed Cursed are both very much worth checking, Empire has a couple of good tracks but it's sadly not as good as the other albums although I do listen to Crusader very often, love that track. The Belong Betray EP is also pretty damn good, the new singer fits in like a glove

Yeah, I have seen them post that this might be the first time they chart on first weeks album sales
Originally, I wasn't planning on getting to this right away, but after I saw a couple of posts like that, I went ahead and purchased a digi copy

“I'd love for them to re-record all of A Fragile Hope with the dual vocals, would be so cool. But that'll be left with just 'Awaiting the Flood' that they did in 2017 I guess! Better than nothing...“
Only if he nails the ending of hope.

I would love to hear a reimagined version of "Hope". Sign me up. Also, that heavy riff in the middle of "But Not Forgotten" is gnarly.

Also, I really appreciate the band's discipline/decision to not slap singing all over everything on this album. There's nice stretches of jamming which makes everything breathe so much better. I feel like it's a lost art in some ways, especially in heavier music.

Yeah i agree hard on that, Teal. I think it is that dicipline/restraint or whatever that makes me compare this to The Elijah (although i think this album as a Whole is a lot better). And if you guys havent checked out The Elijah and want to, i recommend both I Destroyed and I Loved, which at least are my favorites from them. (sadly they only had one album lol)
