Halfway through and probably looking at a 4 or 4.5 for sure. Loving the long "ambient" passages connecting the songs and letting the album breathe. The album's freaking wild. Of the dissodeath bunch, Imperial Triumphant are still my favourite but these guys are up there too.

You can get otherworldly sounds out of any tuning on any guitar, I feel. Deathspell just play in D Standard. Gorguts in C. All about them shapes and melodies and orchestrations. I echo the sentiment that these would be extremely fun to learn. And did they build their own guitars?
