Literally none of these lyrics you're posting are bad

Phero seems to only like lyrics taken from the Randy Newman songbook tradition

I'm gonna regret posting this I'm sure but: y'all realise the whole bit with the Nutribullet is meant to be funny right? He's trying this weird thing called humour it's like if IDLES were good
the Black Midi line is good too in the "probably autobiographical but I'm not sure" way

I can understand why people like this and it’s certainly great in parts but it’s cloyingly present-day and I think it suffers for it

"i get it's meant to be quirky post punk af but that's what's cringe about it - it's so forced"
people forgetting how inherently tongue-in-cheek post-punk is
even at its darkest post-punk has always been about exploiting the themes, satirising them and being cheekily self-depricating

Really not getting the low-ish ratings for this. I think it's absolutely brilliant, minus the changes to Athens and Sunglasses (which haven't exactly been massacred, mind you). "Opus" is probably the best song of the year.
