I think LONG SEASON is on the hairy edge of greatness. Certainly overvalued by most people, but it's not _totally_ undeserving of praise. More important, it towers over the rest of their studio discography in a way I can barely comprehend. It's head and shoulders above everything else they've done (tho KING MASTER GEORGE is good) and so clearly removed from the kitschy (and frankly quite boring) dub/reggae pop vibe that essentially defines their sound otherwise that I almost can't believe it's the same band.
