For me the only really disappointing thing about this album is that it doesn't really bring back the elements of their sound that are unique to Malice, which you would've expected with Jesse's return.

Old Ghosts feels quite Malice-y, and I like that. Great song. Liked the album overall first listen, but I'll haveta listen a couple more times to see if I'm really gonna stick around with it.

Yeah, Shai Hulud is definitely better shit. I'm listening to this rn and the vocals don't really do it for me. Somehow they're too clean sounding? Decent instrumentals but not earth shattering. I know their drummer is sick though. I loved these guys years ago but I don't know how well they'd hold up now.
