Black rider, black rider, hold it right there
The size of your cock will get you nowhere

^one of my favorite moments on the album
Is it just me, or does "Mother of Muses" have a Lambchop-ish sort of thing going on?

I'M RIDING IN A LONG, BLACK LINCOLN LIMOUSINE
RIDIN' IN THE BACK SEAT NEXT TO MY WIFE,
HEADED STRAIGHT ON INTO THE AFTERLIFE

What's new, pussycat? What'd I say?
I said the soul of a nation been torn away
And it's beginning to go into a slow decay
And that it's thirty-six hours past Judgment Day

"Black rider, black rider, hold it right there
The size of your cock will get you nowhere"
that's funny bc black rider could be a black man riding a cock. so the size of his own really doesnt matter

A masterpiece in every way possible. This album contains some of Dylan's best songwriting ever. His best since Time Out Of Mind. I cannot describe my love and appreciation for this record

It fills my heart with such joy that Dylan is still capable of making an album like this, and that even cynical ol' Sputnik is all on board for the ride. This release should make some new fans and inspire younger/previously uninterested people to discover or rediscover his catalogue of essential works. He is truly one of the most important popular musicians and songwriters to ever live and his 60s-mid 70s output especially is mandatory for any serious look into the last 60 years of American music.
