Yeah I don't get it either. All the way to the top this one.

Forgot this average was so low, but more importantly also forgot how much of a BOP Infinity Girl is

Yes to all of this.

This has to be one of the strangest album titles I've ever witnessed
the music is good of course, which adds to my confusion

It is! What's your previous experience with one of the nicest Labs out there zak?
|

Absolutely zilch trif mate.
I gave this a listen a couple of days ago, dipping in and out of it and I prefer it to their other stuff. There’s more consistency to be found here.

It's one of their best for sure. There could be some other zak-albums amongst the rest, I think they have something for everyone.

Those drums in that first track, Fuses, oh my.
We always need more Stereolab bumps.

Oh boy, this one’s a grower. A more challenging listen than D&L or Emperor, but well worth persevering with.

guess I should maybe finally go beyond this one, so Sound Dust is next (and I should check out Peng!)… Mars could also do with a revisit 🤔
I don’t want to rush this ‘slowest discog run ever’, but the returns are getting more wholesome by the week. Really excited about this band now, H Y P E! 🤗🥰

I've been Meshuggahing myself through the horrendous festive season and need something more uplifting - planning to revisit this later tonight as part of my discog challenge. I feel this could easily be bumped up with a few more uninterrupted listens (something that is sadly becoming increasingly hard to acheive due to the presence of others).
@Demon, Sound Dust also awaits next in line for me but what I can say is that Peng! is well worth your time.

Demon yes!!! They have a huuuuuuuuge discog and most of it is worth it so taking it slow is very sensible.
This is one of my faves. In fact, the Loops-Cobra-Dust stretch is my fave Stereolab run.

I dabbled my toe in a sprinkling of Sound Dust this morning and I can see why that would make sense…
too early for any concrete conclusions but I was enjoying it (unsurprisingly), certainly appears as though it may be yet another modest evolution for this forward-thinking band

Further listening has resulted in a bump to a 4.
Could easily be a 4.5 if it was a shade shorter. I love Stereolab but feel a lot of their albums are just a touch too long.
