God this album sounds better than the last time I heard it.

Right? Lots of small things that they did which really adds to the package. Sounds pretty fresh.

Huh, so Dan is out.

Assuming he's the same drummer they had when I saw them last, it won't be a huge loss. Dude just played annoying tom/double bass rolls every chance he got.

I mean, he's never been a very technical drummer at any point whatsoever. Been following the dude since he joined Love and Death... he's not my favorite drummer but he gets the job done
Sad to see him go, but shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement at the end of the day, just wondering why they let him go

On Facebook they said "This is in response to recent actions in his personal life that also date back several years since joining RED"

Bring back Joe.

Joe's the original drummer, yeah? Always really liked his work.

Technically Hayden is the original drummer, but Joe was with them for longer and he's great.

Yeah Joe was their best drummer. Crazy though how every other member of the band has been consistent through all seven albums... except drummer, where they've had like four different ones
I didn't think much of Dan's work on Declaration, but that may have been more the fault of the bad mixing

Joe was for sure their best drummer, Dan was alright but not spectacular. I hope they get a legit good drummer now, would add to their sound. I hope he will also be a bit more critical of the production and make sure their next record will sound better than this one

Joe left to be with In Flames, then left them like a year later after realizing they're a shit band now
|
| |
Hayden is the one I was thinking of. Drumming on their first album was tight.

Watch them get Linkin Park's drummer or something ridiculous...

Texas announced that they were lifting all restrictions/mask mandates and would allow full capacity concerts and then Red like immediately announced four tour dates in Texas for June

I really wish the mix was better here. I still dig the album though.

"Texas announced that they were lifting all restrictions/mask mandates and would allow full capacity concerts and then Red like immediately announced four tour dates in Texas for June"
not surprising, they're trumpsters

I keep forgetting that Texas lifted mask mandate because I'm still required to wear masks on campus here... but not surprised at all that RED jumped at that instantly. I would go see them (because they're a childhood band) but I'll be back home in California in June which sucks

Yeah I mean bands are chomping at the bit for some tour money but hopefully that turns out well. Making the dates outdoors would be better.

I prefer Texas in July
