Album's pretty solid but The Pentagram is one of the best metal instrumentals I've heard in years.

"The closer is near total shit and a sore thumb sadly"

It' s probably the most out of place track, but it seems to me that it was purposeful in order to increase the desired contrast. However, it's also one of my least favorites.

the song itself and the fem vocals are kinda cool, but def an out of place track...they should have closed the circle with more thrashy riffs.

Sometimes I wonder if Jens wrote the album for them

This should've been the album released after Max left

Only took them like 25 years to get it right

It feels that Andreas is behind the wheel, but you may be right, maybe the producer was more crucial than one might think.

Yes, ever since they got the man on board, the quality of their output increased drastically

You can notice the same thing but to a lesser extent with Amorphis

Really makes you wonder, doesn't it

Definitely. Andy Sneap also tends to have that kind of impact.

The last track is also the one I like the least, but even though it is not as good as the others for me, it has points on it that I really like.

The Pentagram is a great instrumental.

The vocal production on Derreck is great too, he sounds really good.

I agree with you @BigPleb, this is undoubtedly the album in which Derick's voice was best produced.

Isolation and Means to an End are a great kick-off.

Decent album, but nothing really stood out or caught my ear. A forgettable album.

No one saw this coming. The tour should be a huge success, if they come to my country, I won't miss the show. I've never seen Derrick-era Sepultura live.

They're playing the local rock fest in June. Definitely gonna see them if there are no noteworthy scheduling conflicts.
