So help a newbie out. Are these guys just more loud unintelligible screamcore with REALLY FAST INSTRUMENTS so we know they're mad skilled? Or is there something here I might actually enjoy.

this is already hitting harder on merely the second listen, if this keeps up it could easily surpass the other metalcore ive heard this year. which isn't much, but still.

I'm not sure if you'd enjoy them necessarily, but it's definitely not what you described. Vocals are harsh, as it goes in metalcore, but far from unintelligible. Instrumentals are paced well, with heavy and slow parts matched well with quicker paced parts. There's plenty of technicality in the music, but it's not in your face wankery. A great mix of melody and intensity. It's good and I'd suggest giving it a try and I think you MIGHT enjoy them, but don't quote me on it.

@Sowing

Norma Jean are the Brand New of metalcore, in terms of song writing. The band itself has been a revolving door of members, the only longstanding being Cory, their lead singer/songwriter.
